Tucked away in the heart of East Memphis, this beautiful property incorporates all 8 categories listed in the ‘Our Services’ section of the website: site planning, project management, landscape design, water features, custom pools, outdoor living, carpentry and lighting & irrigation. When first contacted by the owners, the property’s home was under construction on merely a vacant lot. The properties abandoned home had been torn down and many dead or diseased trees had been removed. Part of the work-scope presented to Camp Creek Landscape was determining the remaining trees to remain, trees to be removed and how to provide vehicular access to the home for both residents and guest. The homeowners had a major concern that the builder had already removed to many trees and they stressed with heavy emphasis that part of our job was to preserve as many of the remaining trees as possible. The wish list was lengthy and challenging but the end results are absolutely stunning.
After several months of designing, meetings and more design time, the final master plan was complete. Included in this master plan were: a natural inviting design for vehicular access for the residents, guest parking with easy accessibility to the front entry, a well defined front entry, retaining walls to protect the wooded vegetation while still allowing the space needed for vehicular access, lush natural landscaping, irritation system for the entire property and elegant landscape lighting….and this was just the front yard. In the backyard, the design was to incorporate the natural topography of the site and include a custom pool with waterfalls (6 in total to be exact), plenty of pool deck area for entertaining, a private overlook bistro patio, plenty of rich green lawn space for the kids (their two black labs) and the grandchildren. The plan was also to include a grand entry into the landscape that had plenty of wow factor yet remaining in balance to the properties natural environment. Elegant landscape lighting brings this backyard paradise to life in the evening hours making this backyard the perfect outdoor entertainment location.
